I took a class in the Stock Market that Professor Davis taught when he was writing this book. For the class we used a manuscript version of the book, and I was so happy to see the book finally in print. I was not planning on majoring in business when I took the class, but now I think I am going to. The way that way that Professor Davis presented the subject made me want to take more classes in Business. I enrolled in an accounting class and I found that the information I had learned from studying this book gave me a big headstart over most of the other students in the class. Accounting was a piece of cake. I also looked at the curriculum for a class on Stock Options and found that I already understood most of the material. The way that Professor teaches really inspired me to learn more about investing. The book is so logically laid out, taking you from the basics of setting up and account and entering orders to analyzing investments, reading finanial statements, and interpreting technical indicators. I am so happy to see this book in print. I hope it helps others as much as it helped me.Product details

Most books on the stock market are dry and good reading if you are trying to fall asleep, but Rod Davis spins true stories about real world investing with such a sense of humor that he keeps you reading onward. Everything you need to become an investor is covered here, and there is some new information for the seasoned investor. Highly recommended.
I was fortunate enough to take the authors' Rod Davis class at Cerritos College. This was probably the best decision I ever did in my life. I went in this class not knowing anything about the stock market, and now since I worked hard in this class and studied the material, I have made a pretty decent penny, especially for my age. His teachings and knowledge is literally the foundation of investing. I could not recommend anything so highly then this book. It breaks the complexity of the stock market down, into easy analogies. Great book and I am so happy I took his class and actually had the chance to be one of his students. He also use to be a broker, so he has worked inside and out.
